what a wonderful life

About two days ago, one of my senior told me not to follow his path. He felt a little disappointment that he couldn’t pass the test to one of the course he had dreamed of. Well, to me myself, he is luckier than anyone else on my unit. He just had arrived from a short trip to US, with a new Ipad in his hand. While I never did, and apparently never will, at least while I’m still in my current unit. He is an airman, just like me, which I’m sure not so many people can be like us in this country. So, we are two of the few lucky ones, indeed. I can’t see how he saw his life miserable.
So, as to cheer him up, I told him how lucky he was, compared to myself. He might have a tiny delay in his career, perhaps, while I am at the edge of my career, for sure.
Most people seem to see his life sucks, n his friends’ great. For me, I know that life is like a long road. Sometimes it’s straight n flat, u can run 100 mph on it. Sometimes it’s bumpy, slow your car down then, time to enjoy the view on the road side. Perhaps it’s a good time to greet other cars next to you. There are many ups n downs in life. It’s always harder when it goes up, but my friend, it is going UP. Enjoy it.
So, every time you feel you are the most miserable person on earth, look at the people below you. When you feel like giving up your naughty kids, look at those who can’t have their own child. When you can’t take arguing with your lover anymore, look at those who had been a living sand sack, beaten by their husband in a daily basis. If you think your parents are too hard on you, look at those abandoned children around you.
My friends, no matter how hard our life is, we are so lucky, indeed.
